Weekly Update: Testing Edition

Happy Monday, Bronchos!

This is a quick reminder that testing will take place tomorrow, April 14, 2026, at Holly High School. Juniors will be taking the SAT, and freshmen and sophomores will be taking the PSAT. Juniors are also scheduled to take the WIN test on Thursday, also at Holly High School.

For this week's testing, you will need to arrive at the high school by 7:10 AM. Please make sure to bring your fully charged Chromebook with you, as there may not be enough outlets available in the testing rooms.

Since you will be in person for testing on Tuesday, this will count for your attendance this week. Because of this, mentor meetings have been canceled for the week. If you need to reach me at any point, feel free to contact me by email.

Also, a new Weekly Communication prompt has been posted. As always, your response is due by 11:59 PM on Friday, April 17.

Let me know if you have any questions and good luck on your tests!

Next Week's Mentor Meetings & SAT/PSAT Information

Good afternoon, Bronchos!

I wanted to let you know that your scheduled mentor meetings for next week will be canceled. This is because weekly attendance will be taken when you arrive for the in-person SAT or PSAT on Tuesday, April 14 at Holly High School.

Please don’t be concerned when you receive a notification that your mentor meeting has been canceled; this change applies to next week only. I will share more information on Monday regarding attendance for any additional in-person testing in the following weeks.

To make sure you are fully prepared for testing, please complete the following preparation activities based on your grade level. Everyone should begin by completing the Readiness Check to ensure that Bluebook is working properly on your device; this is outlined in slides 4, 5, and 6. This step is especially important for sophomores and freshmen to confirm that everything is set up and functioning correctly. Juniors may also find the additional slides especially helpful, as they demonstrate how to access practice SAT questions.

Juniors should also review the WIN videos, specifically the WIN Assessment Navigation TutorialWIN Math Tutorial, and WIN Reading Tutorial. In addition, be sure to watch the M-Step videos for Science and Social Studies, and spend time working on SAT preparation.

Taking time to complete these steps will help you feel more confident and ready on test day.

If you have any questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help.

Good luck with your preparation and I’ll see you on test day!

Welcome Back & Important Updates

Welcome back, Bronchos!

I hope you had a chance to rest, recharge, and are ready to finish the school year strong.

Today is National Tartan Day, which celebrates Scottish heritage and the contributions of Scottish Americans to history and culture. It’s a day to recognize traditions like tartan patterns—the iconic plaid designs associated with Scottish clans—and to appreciate the lasting influence of Scottish culture around the world.

As we head into the final stretch, there are 46 school wake-ups left (not including weekends or Memorial Day) until the end of the school year. This time will go quickly, so it’s important to stay focused, consistent, and intentional with your work.

Spring testing begins next week for Juniors and Sophomores, so please make sure to review the information shared in the letter from Mrs. Voegel.

The Weekly Communication has been posted for this week, and your responses should be submitted by 11:59 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026. Be sure to fully answer all aspects of both parts of the assignment.

Finally, please remember to attend your scheduled mentor meetings. You can find your meeting times and the corresponding links on your Google Calendar.

Let’s make these last weeks count by staying on top of your responsibilities and continuing to push toward your goals. I’m looking forward to a strong finish together.
